The Asian University for Women seeks promising students who possess the talent to achieve academic excellence, as well as the ability to recognize the value of collaborating with others to reach common goals.
Admission to AUW is a proactive process of seeking young women who demonstrate exceptional potential and, in turn, deserve the promise of opportunity. In addition to a student's academic qualifications, the evaluation of each candidate is based on leadership skills, community awareness and social commitment.
Admission to AUW is strictly merit-based.
At least 50% of the students will receive need-based scholarship support. Approximately 25% of the students will be recruited from Bangladesh, and the remaining 75% will be considered from across Asia and the Middle East. View the timeline for details about country-specific deadlines.

Undergraduate Program
Access Academy
A year-long pre-undergraduate program that prepares students from underprivileged communities for a rigorous university education.
Who can apply?
- Young women whose parents are NOT University graduates.
- Age: 17-26 years
- Education: Completion of 10+2= 12 years of education
- 60% or above marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/ 10 year equivalent exam and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / 12 year equivalent exam
- Around 50% marks in English of HSC/ equivalent exam
- Intention for leading and working for the advancement of own country and society.
- Students appearing for 2009 HSC/ 12 year equivalent examinations can apply.

- You can print the downloaded forms, fill it out and send us the completed form.
- Or, you can apply online through the Apply Online link. Fill out the forms directly on your computer by clicking on the Create New Access Academy Application link. Click the SUBMIT button once you have filled out the form.
- Remember to download the supplementary forms (you will be given a link to the forms once you have finished submitting the Application Form). Follow procedure i. or ii. above for filling out these forms.
Step 3: Submit the Forms
Use following checklist to ensure you have all the required documents:
__ Two recent passport sized photographs (signed in the back)
__ Certified Photocopy of SSC/Grade 10/equivalent certificate
__ Photocopy of the HSC certificate/equivalent or of the probationary certificate. All certificates must be attested by the respective institution.
__ Completed Access Academy Identification Form

__ Completed Institutional Recommendation Form
__ Completed Community Recommendation Form

Admissions Process: Evaluation and Review of Applicants
- All complete applications received will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
- Invitations for the Entrance Test will be mailed out to selected applicants by early March.
- The Entrance Test will be held in late March or early April. The exact date will be announced.
- A Personal Interview will be held immediately following the Entrance Test
- The Entrance Test and Personal Interview will evaluate a student’s overall English proficiency and general Math skills.
- Provisional Acceptance letters will be mailed out to selected applicants in May of 2009. Provisional acceptance is subject to:
Classes Commence:
Access Academy classes will commence at the end of August, 2009.
Undergraduate Program
Who can apply?
- Education: 10+2, a total of 12 years’ education
- 65% or above marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC)/10th Grade/equivalent and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/12th Grade/equivalent result
- 70% marks in English of HSC/Year 12/equivalent (If your medium of instruction was NOT English)
- Experience and aspiration to lead and contribute for own country and society
- Those who will appear for 2009 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/12th Grade/A Levels/IB/equivalent examinations are also eligible.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS
