Campaign News

The Asian University for Women is grateful for the support of foundations, groups, and individuals who have contributed towards our goal of graduating women leaders. The list below highlights only a few of our generous donors:
- December 2008: AUW receives the first half of the $1 million gift from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, which agreed to co-sponsor the Access Academy together with the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
- July 2008: AUW receives a second $1.4 million grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation in support of the Access Academy. A philanthropist in Hong Kong contributes $5 million toward the construction of the AUW campus.
- December 2007: Grants from the Open Society Institute reaches $1 million.
- October 2006: AUW receives a $1.4 million grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation in support of the Access Academy. The funds go to student scholarships and campus operations.
- October 2005: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awards AUW a $15 million challenge grant.
